Chez Napoleon. French Restaurant in New York
Known simply as the most authentic French restaurant in New York City, Chez Napoléon has been a staple in the Theatre District since 1960 and has been family-run ever since!
Seating approximately 40 people, our quiet, little restaurant is a favorite to New Yorkers and visitors alike for its “tucked away” atmosphere and its authentic French dining menu prepared by the Bruno family’s matriarch, familiarly known as ‘Grand-mere’ Marguerite.
Her award-winning cooking style is a testament to hearty, classic French cuisine without fancy decor, or stacked flavors that many other kitchens pass off as today’s French Cuisine. Grand-mere wants you to be full and content when you leave the restaurant. As she often says, “Food is to be tasted and eaten, not to be hung on the wall like a piece of modern art.”
Chez Napoléon also boasts a unique Martini selection, Jigsaw Puzzles, a generous Prix-Fixe Menu, friendly service, and above all, the most authentic French dining experience without the hassle and cost of flying to Paris for dinner!
