Café Normandie, a French cuisine restaurant and Maryland seafood specialties.

Our kitchen is dedicated to locally sourced ingredients, sustainable and often obtained on the same day from farmers and local producers, to give you a surprising result every day.

French cuisine and seafood. Café Normandie is the work of Jean-Louis Evennou. It was also the chef since the restaurant opened. Jean-Louis began his cooking career at age 13, after which he worked alongside his sister and his brother-in-law in their restaurant in Beynes, France.

The culinary career of Jean Louis includes learning and to have worked with some of the best chefs and restaurants in America. Jean-Louis came to the US in 1980 with his wife Suzanne. He has worked in some of the best French restaurants in Washington, DC until 1986, when he opened Café Normandie.
