Assateague Island,
This island in the Maryland is somehow the equivalent of the french Camargue. This is a unique place recreated daily by the wind and waves of the ocean. On Assateague Island, 60 km long, life has adapted to the movement. By leaving the horses the space they need to live freely, you protect their species and your family.
The preservation of the marine natural environment is vital for migratory birds who stop to rest and feed before continuing their way. There are over 320 species of birds on Assateague Island which is a unique coastal ecosystem and a sustainable resource that all visitors can enjoy.
