It is a Bluetooth device that monitors your heart rate as well as the calories you burn while you are training using a Fitness of your choice to read the results. With its 45 grs, it is very light and starts at $69.99.

Your iPhone as Glucose Monitor

Soon to come, this device will allow you to monitor your glucose anywhere thanks to your iPhone. LabStyle is a company (www.mydario.com) that specializes in cutting-edge technology that transforms your smartphone into an affordable, easy-to-use laboratory testing platform. Their main device, Dario, replaces bulky personal glucometers and cumbersome data collection through a small apparatus and an app. It should launch soon in Europe and later in the US upon approval.

Your iPhone as Blood Pressure Monitor

Withings  (www.withings.com)offers a blood pressure device for $129.95. Very easy to use, the BPM, only requires you to plug in your iPhone, iPad or iPod their device. Then you just press to launch the measurement, you read, you’re done! You will get instant visibility of your systolic, diastolic blood pressure and heart rate. Your results are saved automatically in your phone. This company carries others devices for monitoring your health.

Your Iphone as a Sleep Aide

Sleepbot (www.mysleepboat.com) came up with an app that tracks your sleep paterns, when you move in your sleep, or deep sleep, lighter sleep…It lets you record all your sleep data for you to see.

Other  New technological Health Devices

The company OM Signal (www.omsignal) is making available apparel that continuously tracks your biometric to help you connect to a fitter, healthier and happier you. Embedded sensors in the apparel monitor your heart rate, breathing and activity while the OMsignal app displays your data in real time on your mobile phone.

Soon to come, another company called AIRO (www.getairo.com) is supposed to release late 2014 a wristband that will track 1) your nutrition (not only the calories intake but also the nutrients released into your bloodstream as they are broken down during and after your meals. 2) your different stress levels with recommendations as to how best deal with it. 3) Your sleep pattern, circadian rhythm and the distinct sleep cycles. 4) Your exercice, to keep track of your daily activity.
