Tessa International School. Bilingual International School in Hoboken, New Jersey.

Tessa International School is an international private school offering 3 bilingual courses: French – English, Spanish – English and Mandarin – English.

Founded in 2017, it is a young, dynamic and rapidly growing school, which today welcomes students from Kindergarten (2 years) to Elementary.

BILINGUISM. EXCELLENCY. JOY OF LIVING. (Bilingualism. Excellence. Happiness.) are the three pillars that define the school’s mission. For Tessa, child development involves both academic challenge and socio-emotional development.

In almost total immersion (80/20) in French in kindergarten, the program is taught half in French and half in English from primary school. Through its 3 bilingual streams, students are constantly exposed to 4 international languages: English, Spanish, Chinese and French.

Tessa is approved by the AEFE for its nursery classes (primary in preparation), and by the International Baccalaureate organization. The combination of these two programs ensures students a high standard of education and great flexibility to transition to other schools in France and internationally.

Why the International Baccalaureate (IB)?
The IB is a prestigious and ambitious education method and program followed by more than 5,000 schools around the world. It develops in young people the intellectual curiosity, knowledge, sensitivity, intercultural respect and determination necessary to succeed.
