Welcome to Bel Ami, an authentic French boulangerie and patisserie tucked away on 68th Street off Madison Avenue on Manhattan’s Upper East Side Historic District.
Opened in 2010 by Vanessa Laplaud, a native of Limoges, it has already established itself as a neighborhood mainstay.
We provide the warmth and intimacy of a local cafe while offering the best of continental fare. From buttery chocolate croissants to light lavender macaroons, we receive all our confections daily from a variety of select local French artisan bakers. Our menu includes homemade sandwiches, and sumptuous salads made with the freshest arrays of seasonal greens and fruit.
We offer a variety of coffee and espresso beverages – all made with La Colombe coffee, a bold choice crafted to fit the taste of the metropolitan connoisseur.
Stop by for a cup of coffee on your way to work or before a walk through Central Park. Enjoy lunch or a light dinner after a long day of shopping on Madison Avenue. In the fall and winter, curl up at a corner table with hot tea or our homemade French-style hot chocolate.
In the summer enjoy our outdoor benches. Whatever your needs, Bel Ami is always there, filled with fine food and inviting charm.
