When we opened our doors in February of 1994, we wanted to recreate the casual bistros we knew growing up in the south of France where people could meet and enjoy light fare with a cup of coffee or a glass of wine. We did not anticipate that Anis would become an instant success and develop such a devoted following. We quickly responded by creating a more traditional restaurant setting and expanding the offerings from the kitchen but we never lost sight of our vision: to transport our guests to the south of France.

Arnaud Michel continues to charm his guests with his genuine affection for the food and wine of his childhood. The respect for the ingredients and the seasons influence the menu and Michel works with local vendors to secure the most authentic ingredients – wine and cheese from the south of France, pristine produce and seasonal seafood.

And since opening its doors, Anis has been part of the Garden Hills neighborhood. Welcoming and inviting, Anis Bistro is a taste of Provence in the heart of Buckhead. We invite you to taste the difference.
