Many after school activities, summer camps…
Lycée International de Los Angeles is an international school welcoming students from kindergarten to grade 12, which aims for academic excellence in a family and intimate environment that encourages personal initiative, creativity and curiosity. Students are stimulated by the rigorous and balanced bilingual programs of French and international baccalaureate institutions. Our goal is to develop confident, caring, open-minded critical thinkers who thrive in a diverse competitive world. The course at LILA ends according to the choice of students with the French baccalaureate or the International Baccalaureate® (IB).
The Los Angeles International High School was founded in 1978 by a group of visionaries of diverse cultural backgrounds who wanted the community of Los Angeles to have a school that prepared children for living in an increasingly international environment. Being predominantly French, they chose to offer a program based on that of French National Education. Since its creation, our school has never stopped growing: from the very first campus – a house in Van Nuys with seven students – to the five current campuses and more than a thousand students. The Lycée International de Los Angeles is renowned today and its graduates are entering major universities around the world.
The Lycée International de Los Angeles is accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC), the International Baccalaureate Organization of Geneva and by the French Ministry of National Education. Our school also depends on the Agency for French Education Abroad (AEFE) and is affiliated with the Mission laïque française (MLF) and the network of the National Association of Independent Schools (NAIS) and the California Association of Independent Schools (CAIS).
